اَ هُمْ خَیْرٌ
خَىْ رُنْ اَمْ
اَمْ قَوْمُ
قَوْ مُ تُبَّعٍ ۙ
تُبّ بَ عِنْ وّ وَّ الَّذِیْنَ
وَلّ لَ ذِىْ نَ مِنْ
مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ؕ
قَبْ لِ هِمْ اَهْلَكْنٰهُمْ ؗ
اَهْ لَكْ نَا هُمْ اِنَّهُمْ
اِنّ نَ هُمْ كَانُوْا
كَانُوۡ مُجْرِمِیْنَ
مُجْ رِ مِىْٓ نْ
وَ مَا خَلَقْنَا
خَ لَقْ نَسّ السَّمٰوٰتِ
سَ مَا وَا تِ وَ الْاَرْضَ
وَلْ اَرْ ضَ وَ مَا
وَ مَا بَیْنَهُمَا
بَىْ نَ هُ مَا لٰعِبِیْنَ
لَا عِ بِىْٓ نْ
مَا خَلَقْنٰهُمَاۤ
خَ لَقْ نَا هُ مَآ اِلَّا
اِلّ لَا بِالْحَقِّ
بِلْ حَقّ قِ وَ لٰكِنَّ
وَ لَا كِنّ نَ اَكْثَرَهُمْ
اَكْ ثَ رَ هُمْ لَا
لَا یَعْلَمُوْنَ
يَعْ لَ مُوْٓ نْ
اِنّ نَ یَوْمَ
يَوْ مَلْ الْفَصْلِ
فَصْ لِ مِیْقَاتُهُمْ
مِىْ قَا تُ هُمْ اَجْمَعِیْنَ
اَجْ مَ عِىْٓ نْ
يَوْ مَ لَا
لَا یُغْنِیْ
يُغْ نِىْ مَوْلًی
مَوْ لَنْ عَنْ
عَمّ مَّوْلًی
مَوْ لَنْ شَیْـًٔا
شَىْ ءَنْ وّ وَّ لَا
وَ لَا هُمْ
هُمْ یُنْصَرُوْنَ
يُنْ صَ رُوْٓ نْ
اِلّ لَا مَنْ
مَرّ رَّحِمَ
رَحِ مَلّ اللّٰهُ ؕ
لَٓا هْ اِنَّهُ
اِنّ نَ هُوْ هُوَ
هُ وَلْ الْعَزِیْزُ
عَ زِىْ زُرّ الرَّحِیْمُ
رَ حِىْٓ مْ
اِنّ نَ شَجَرَتَ
شَ جَ رَ تَزّ الزَّقُّوْمِ
زَقّ قُوْٓ مْ
طَ عَا مُلْ الْاَثِیْمِ
اَ ثِىْٓ مْ
كَلْ مُهْ لِ یَغْلِیْ
يَغْ لِىْ فِی
فِلْ الْبُطُوْنِ
بُ طُوْٓ نْ
كَ غَلْ يِلْ الْحَمِیْمِ
حَ مِىْٓ مْ
خُ ذُوْ هُ فَاعْتِلُوْهُ
فَعْ تِ لُوْ هُ اِلٰی
اِلَا سَوَآءِ
سَ وَآ ءِلْ الْجَحِیْمِۗۖ
جَ حِىْٓ مْ
Are they superior to the people of Tubba’1 and those before them? We destroyed them ˹all˺, ˹for˺ they were truly wicked.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Are they better or the people of Tubbaʿ1 and those before them? We destroyed them, [for] indeed, they were criminals.
— Saheeh International
We did not create the heavens and the earth and everything in between for sport.

And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play.
— Saheeh International
We only created them for a purpose, but most of these ˹pagans˺ do not know.

We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know.
— Saheeh International
Surely the Day of ˹Final˺ Decision is the time appointed for all—

Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all -
— Saheeh International
the Day no kith or kin will be of benefit to another whatsoever, nor will they be helped,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
The Day when no relation1 will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped -
— Saheeh International
except those shown mercy by Allah. He is truly the Almighty, Most Merciful.

Except those [believers] on whom Allah has mercy. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
— Saheeh International
Surely ˹the fruit of˺ the tree of Zaqqûm1
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Indeed, the tree of zaqqūm
— Saheeh International
will be the food of the evildoer.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Is food for the sinful.
— Saheeh International
Like molten metal, it will boil in the bellies
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Like murky oil, it boils within bellies
— Saheeh International
like the boiling of hot water.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Like the boiling of scalding water.
— Saheeh International
˹It will be said,˺ “Seize them and drag them into the depths of the Hellfire.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
[It will be commanded], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of the Hellfire,
