and ˹then˺ their feet are tied together ˹in a shroud˺.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And the leg is wound about the leg,1
— Saheeh International
On that day they will be driven to your Lord ˹alone˺.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession.1
— Saheeh International
This denier neither believed nor prayed,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And he [i.e., the disbeliever] had not believed, nor had he prayed.
— Saheeh International
but persisted in denial and turned away,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
But [instead], he denied and turned away.
— Saheeh International
then went to their own people, walking boastfully.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And then he went to his people, swaggering [in pride].
— Saheeh International
Woe to you, and more woe!
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Woe to you, and woe!
— Saheeh International
Again, woe to you, and even more woe!
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Then woe to you, and woe!
— Saheeh International
Do people think they will be left without purpose?
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Does man think that he will be left neglected?1
— Saheeh International
Were they not ˹once˺ a sperm-drop emitted?
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Had he not been a sperm from semen emitted?
— Saheeh International
Then they became a clinging clot ˹of blood˺,1 then He developed and perfected their form,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Then he was a clinging clot, and [Allah] created [his form] and proportioned [him]
— Saheeh International
producing from it both sexes, male and female.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And made of him two mates, the male and the female.
— Saheeh International
