قَا لَ لِلْمَلَاِ
لِلْ مَ لَ اِ حَوْلَهٗۤ
حَوْ لَ هُوْٓ اِنَّ
اِنّ نَ هٰذَا
هَا ذَا لَسٰحِرٌ
لَ سَا حِ رُنْ عَلِیْمٌ
عَ لِىْٓ مْ
ىُ رِىْ دُ اَنْ
اَنْ ىّ یُّخْرِجَكُمْ
يُخْ رِ جَ كُمّ مِّنْ
مِنْ اَرْضِكُمْ
اَرْ ضِ كُمْ بِسِحْرِهٖ ۖۗ
بِ سِحْ رِ هِىْ فَمَا ذَا
فَ مَا ذَا تَاْمُرُوْنَ
تَاْ مُ رُوْٓ نْ
قَا لُوْٓ اَرْجِهْ
اَرْ جِهْ وَ اَخَاهُ
وَاَخَا هُ وَ ابْعَثْ
وَبْ عَثْ فِی
فِلْ الْمَدَآىِٕنِ
مَ دَآ ءِنِ حٰشِرِیْنَ
حَا شِ رِىْٓ نْ
يَاْ تُوْ كَ بِكُلِّ
بِ كُلّ لِ سَحَّارٍ
سَحّ حَا رِنْ عَلِیْمٍ
عَ لِىْٓ مْ
فَ جُ مِ عَسّ السَّحَرَةُ
سَ حَ رَ ةُ لِمِیْقَاتِ
لِ مِىْ قَا تِ یَوْمٍ
يَوْ مِمّ مَّعْلُوْمٍ
مَعْ لُوْٓ مْ
وَ قِىْ لَ لِلنَّاسِ
لِنّ نَا سِ هَلْ
هَلْ اَنْتُمْ
اَنْ تُمّ مُّجْتَمِعُوْنَ
مُجْ تَ مِ عُوْٓ نْ
لَ عَلّ لَ نَا نَتَّبِعُ
تَتّ تَ بِ عُسّ السَّحَرَةَ
سَ حَ رَ ةَ اِنْ
اِنْ كَانُوْا
كَا نُوْ هُمُ
هُ مُلْ الْغٰلِبِیْنَ
غَا لِ بِىْٓ نْ
فَ لَمّ مَا جَآءَ
جَآ ءَسّ السَّحَرَةُ
سَ حَ رَ ةُ قَالُوْا
قَا لُوْ لِفِرْعَوْنَ
لِ فِرْ عَوْ نَ اَىِٕنَّ
اَ ءِنّ نَ لَنَا
لَ نَا لَاَجْرًا
لَ اَجْ رَنْ اِنْ
اِنْ كُنَّا
كُنّ نَا نَحْنُ
نَحْ نُلْ الْغٰلِبِیْنَ
غَا لِ بِىْٓ نْ
قَا لَ نَعَمْ
نَ عَمْ وَ اِنَّكُمْ
وَ اِنّ نَ كُمْ اِذًا
اِذَلّ لَّمِنَ
لَ مِ نَلْ الْمُقَرَّبِیْنَ
مُ قَرّ رَ بِىْٓ نْ
قَا لَ لَهُمْ
لَ هُمّ مُّوْسٰۤی
مُوْ سَآ اَلْقُوْا
اَلْ قُوْ مَاۤ
مَآ اَنْتُمْ
اَنْ تُمّ مُّلْقُوْنَ
مُلْ قُوْٓ نْ
فَ اَلْ قَوْ حِبَالَهُمْ
حِ بَا لَ هُمْ وَ عِصِیَّهُمْ
وَ عِ صِىّ ىَ هُمْ وَ قَالُوْا
وَ قَا لُوْ بِعِزَّةِ
بِ عِزّ زَ ةِ فِرْعَوْنَ
فِرْ عَوْ نَ اِنَّا
اِنّ نَا لَنَحْنُ
لَ نَحْ نُلْ الْغٰلِبُوْنَ
غَا لِ بُوْٓ نْ
Pharaoh said to the chiefs around him, “He is indeed a skilled magician,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
[Pharaoh] said to the eminent ones around him, "Indeed, this is a learned magician.
— Saheeh International
who seeks to drive you from your land by his magic. So what do you propose?”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
He wants to drive you out of your land by his magic, so what do you advise?"
— Saheeh International
They replied, “Let him and his brother wait and dispatch mobilizers to all cities
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
They said, "Postpone [the matter of] him and his brother and send among the cities gatherers
— Saheeh International
to bring you every skilled magician.”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Who will bring you every learned, skilled magician."
— Saheeh International
So the magicians were assembled at the set time on the appointed day.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
So the magicians were assembled for the appointment of a well-known day.1
— Saheeh International
And the people were asked, “Will you join the gathering,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And it was said to the people, "Will you congregate.
— Saheeh International
so that we may follow the magicians if they prevail?”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
That we might follow the magicians if they are the predominant?"
— Saheeh International
When the magicians came, they asked Pharaoh, “Shall we have a ˹suitable˺ reward if we prevail?”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And when the magicians arrived, they said to Pharaoh, "Is there indeed for us a reward if we are the predominant?"
— Saheeh International
He replied, “Yes, and you will then certainly be among those closest to me.”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
He said, "Yes, and indeed, you will then be of those near [to me]."
— Saheeh International
Moses said to them, “Cast whatever you wish to cast.”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Moses said to them, "Throw whatever you will throw."
— Saheeh International
So they cast down their ropes and staffs, saying, “By Pharaoh’s might, it is we who will surely prevail.”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
So they threw their ropes and their staffs and said, "By the might of Pharaoh, indeed it is we who are predominant."
— Saheeh International
