And indeed, We created humankind1 from an extract of clay,

And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay.

then placed each ˹human˺ as a sperm-drop1 in a secure place,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Then We placed him as a sperm-drop1 in a firm lodging [i.e., the womb].
— Saheeh International
then We developed the drop into a clinging clot ˹of blood˺, then developed the clot into a lump ˹of flesh˺, then developed the lump into bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, then We brought it into being as a new creation.1 So Blessed is Allah, the Best of Creators.

Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators.1

After that you will surely die,

Then indeed, after that you are to die.
— Saheeh International
then on the Day of Judgment you will be resurrected.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected.
— Saheeh International
And indeed, We created above you seven levels ˹of heaven˺. We are never unmindful of ˹Our˺ creation.

And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware.
— Saheeh International
We send down rain from the sky in perfect measure, causing it to soak into the earth. And We are surely able to take it away.

And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away.
— Saheeh International
With it We produce for you gardens of palm trees and grapevines, in which there are abundant fruits, and from which you may eat,

And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat.
— Saheeh International
as well as ˹olive˺ trees which grow at Mount Sinai, providing oil and a condiment to eat.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food [i.e., olives] for those who eat.
— Saheeh International
And there is certainly a lesson for you in cattle, from whose bellies We give you ˹milk˺ to drink, and in them are many other benefits for you, and from them you may eat.

And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat.

And you are carried upon ˹some of˺ them and upon ships.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And upon them and on ships you are carried.
— Saheeh International
