˹the One˺ to Whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is a Witness over all things.

To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness.1

Those who persecute the believing men and women and then do not repent will certainly suffer the punishment of Hell and the torment of burning.

Indeed, those who have tortured1 the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire.

Surely those who believe and do good will have Gardens under which rivers flow. That is the greatest triumph.

Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment.

Indeed, the ˹crushing˺ grip of your Lord is severe.

Indeed, the assault [i.e., vengeance] of your Lord is severe.

˹For˺ He is certainly the One Who originates and resurrects ˹all˺.

Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats.

And He is the All-Forgiving, All-Loving—

And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate,
— Saheeh International
Lord of the Throne, the All-Glorious,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Honorable Owner of the Throne,
— Saheeh International
Doer of whatever He wills.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Effecter of what He intends.
— Saheeh International
Has the story of the ˹destroyed˺ forces reached you ˹O Prophet˺—
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Has there reached you the story of the soldiers -
— Saheeh International
˹the forces of˺ Pharaoh and Thamûd?
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
[Those of] Pharaoh and Thamūd?
— Saheeh International
Yet the disbelievers ˹still˺ persist in denial.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial,
