Yet he is hungry for more.

Then he desires that I should add more.
— Saheeh International
But no! ˹For˺ he has been truly stubborn with Our revelations.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
No! Indeed, he has been toward Our verses obstinate.
— Saheeh International
I will make his fate unbearable,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
I will cover him with arduous torment.
— Saheeh International
for he contemplated and determined ˹a degrading label for the Quran˺.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Indeed, he thought and deliberated.1
— Saheeh International
May he be condemned! How evil was what he determined!
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
So may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated.
— Saheeh International
May he be condemned even more! How evil was what he determined!
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Then may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated.
— Saheeh International
Then he re-contemplated ˹in frustration˺,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Then he considered [again];
— Saheeh International
then frowned and scowled,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Then he frowned and scowled;
— Saheeh International
then turned his back ˹on the truth˺ and acted arrogantly,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Then he turned back and was arrogant
— Saheeh International
saying, “This ˹Quran˺ is nothing but magic from the ancients.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And said, "This is not but magic imitated [from others].
— Saheeh International
This is no more than the word of a man.”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
This is not but the word of a human being."
