اَمْ
اَمْ تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ
تَسْ ءَ لُ هُمْ اَجْرًا
اَجْ رَنْ فَهُمْ
فَ هُمّ مِّنْ
مِمّ مَّغْرَمٍ
مَغْ رَ مِمّ مُّثْقَلُوْنَ
مُثْ قَ لُوْٓ نْ
اَمْ تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ
تَسْ ءَ لُ هُمْ اَجْرًا
اَجْ رَنْ فَهُمْ
فَ هُمّ مِّنْ
مِمّ مَّغْرَمٍ
مَغْ رَ مِمّ مُّثْقَلُوْنَ
مُثْ قَ لُوْٓ نْ

Or are you ˹O Prophet˺ asking them for a reward ˹for the message˺ so that they are overburdened by debt?
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Or do you, [O Muḥammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down?
— Saheeh International
