Only those ˹destined to be˺ deluded are turned away from it.1

Deluded away from it [i.e., the Qur’ān] is he who is deluded.
— Saheeh International
Condemned are the liars—
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Destroyed are the misinformers1
— Saheeh International
those who are ˹steeped˺ in ignorance, totally heedless.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless.
— Saheeh International
They ask ˹mockingly˺, “When is this Day of Judgment?”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?"
— Saheeh International
˹It is˺ the Day they will be tormented over the Fire.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
[It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire.
— Saheeh International
˹They will be told,˺ “Taste your torment! This is what you sought to hasten.”
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
[And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient."
— Saheeh International
Indeed, the righteous will be amid Gardens and springs,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs,
— Saheeh International
˹joyfully˺ receiving what their Lord will grant them. Before this ˹reward˺ they were truly good-doers ˹in the world˺:
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good.
— Saheeh International
they used to sleep only little in the night,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
They used to sleep but little of the night,1
— Saheeh International
and pray for forgiveness before dawn.1
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness,
— Saheeh International
And in their wealth there was a rightful share ˹fulfilled˺ for the beggar and the poor.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived.
— Saheeh International
