وَ جَ عَلْ نَلّ الَّیْلَ
لَىْ لَ لِبَاسًا
لِ بَا سَا
وَ جَ عَلْ نَنّ النَّهَارَ
نَ هَا رَ مَعَاشًا
مَ عَا شَا
وَ بَ نَىْ نَا فَوْقَكُمْ
فَوْ قَ كُمْ سَبْعًا
سَبْ عَنْ شِدَادًا
شِ دَادَا
وَ جَ عَلْ نَا سِرَاجًا
سِ رَا جَنْ وّ وَّهَّاجًا۪
وَهّ هَا جَا
وَاَنْ زَلْ نَا مِنَ
مِ نَلْ الْمُعْصِرٰتِ
مُعْ صِ رَا تِ مَآءً
مَآ ءَنْ ثَجَّاجًا
ثَجّ جَا جَا
لِ نُخْ رِ جَ بِهٖ
بِ هِىْ حَبًّا
حَبّ بَنْ وّ وَّ نَبَاتًا
وَنَ بَا تَا
وَ جَنّ نَا تِنْ اَلْفَافًا
اَلْ فَا فَا
اِنّ نَ یَوْمَ
يَوْ مَلْ الْفَصْلِ
فَصْ لِ كَانَ
كَا نَ مِیْقَاتًا
مِىْ قَا تَا
يَوْ مَ یُنْفَخُ
يُنْ فَ خُ فِی
فِصّ الصُّوْرِ
صُوْ رِ فَتَاْتُوْنَ
فَ تَاْ تُوْ نَ اَفْوَاجًا
اَفْ وَا جَا
وَ فُ تِ حَ تِسّ السَّمَآءُ
سَ مَآ ءُ فَكَانَتْ
فَ كَا نَتْ اَبْوَابًا
اَبْ وَا بَا
وَ سُىّ ىِ رَ تِلْ الْجِبَالُ
جِ بَا لُ فَكَانَتْ
فَ كَا نَتْ سَرَابًا
سَ رَا بَا
and made the night as a cover,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And made the night as clothing1.

and made the day for livelihood,

And made the day for livelihood.

and built above you seven mighty ˹heavens˺,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And constructed above you seven strong [heavens].
— Saheeh International
and placed ˹in them˺ a shining lamp,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And made [therein] a burning lamp
— Saheeh International
and sent down from rainclouds pouring water,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And sent down, from the rain clouds, pouring water.
— Saheeh International
producing by it grain and ˹various˺ plants,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
That We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation.
— Saheeh International
and dense orchards?
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And gardens of entwined growth.
— Saheeh International
Indeed, the Day of ˹Final˺ Decision is an appointed time—
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time -
— Saheeh International
˹it is˺ the Day the Trumpet will be blown, and you will ˹all˺ come forth in crowds.

The Day the Horn is blown and you will come forth in multitudes
— Saheeh International
The sky will be ˹split˺ open, becoming ˹many˺ gates,
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And the heaven is opened and will become gateways.

and the mountains will be blown away, becoming ˹like˺ a mirage.
— Dr. Mustafa Khattab, the Clear Quran
And the mountains are removed and will be [but] a mirage.
